Exercise can get you going, but your nutritional habits will either hold you back or propel you forward toward getting the body you never thought you could have. It has been proven that exercise alone is not enough.
A study compared two groups, one that didn’t exercise at all and the other one who exercised 3 days a week performing strength exercises with an Olympic weightlifting coach, and 2 days per week performing circuit training. After 16 weeks, as expected, the exercise group did get better results. However, these results were not very impressive. The non-exercise group gained 1 lb. of lean muscle mass, lost ½ lb. of fat and ½% body fat. The exercise group gained 3 lbs. of lean muscle mass, lost 2 lbs. of fat and 1.5% body. Over 4 months, after exercising for 5x per week, (a total of 80 training sessions) they lost only 2 lbs. and 1.5% body fat? (Precision Nutrition 2012).
This is the reason we have made nutrition a primary focus of our program at Premium Training. Lets compare to the results above. After completing 5 sessions per week of our classes, plus implementing our nutritional program, one of our client gained 4 lbs. of lean muscle mass, lost 11 lbs. of fat and 6.5% body fat!! Another client gained 8 lbs. of lean muscle mass, lost 13 lbs. of fat and 5.3% body fat! Another gained 4.8 lbs. of lean muscle mass and lost 5.1 lbs. of fat and 3.3% body fat. The list goes on and on. Some of these clients came to me having been very active and on a regular exercising schedule. By breaking down their nutrition and implementing various strategies, we were able to pinpoint the things that were holding them back, make the necessary adjustments and then just watch as their bodies responded.
Bottom line, you can continue to eat the way you are and stay in the same place, or we can teach you how to eat that will turn your body into a fat-burning, muscle building machine.
