Get to know Jill Wahlin
Jill is a fun person, always making us laugh but at the same time is ultra competitive. She is always checking the board to see who she has to beat. She also has a goal on how many calories she wants to burn, and if she is short, she goes out to run or completes a metabolic booster to make it happen!
What is your favorite snack?
Peanut butter and apple slices, peanut butter and celery, jalapeño string cheese, key lime Greek yogurt with cottage cheese in it (if I want to feel good). Movie popcorn, brownies and ice cream (if I want to feel like crap!)
What are your hobbies?
I like to play and watch all sports, especially when my kids are involved. I like to go on trips with my family. Pretty much anything to do with my kids:))
What is your favorite movie?
Nacho Libre 🙂 if I’m in a stupid humorous mood. I’m not a huge movie watcher ’cause I usually fall a sleep……boring I know.
What is something people don’t know about you?
My real name is Jillinda. That’s not that cool so another one…. I have hiked Angels Landing in Zion National Park. Probably will never do it again. Beautiful but scary!
What is your dream vacation?
Hawaii- Oahu or Maui with my family. The next best vacation would be a girls trip anywhere with my BFF’s :))).
What is your favorite color and what does it say about you?
I have a lot of purple things but I really don’t have a favorite color. I guess that says I’m not very crafty or artsy?!? Or maybe that I’m indecisive 😀
Tell us about your family pet.
Toby ( heeler and border collie mix) Toby is a very active,smart, loyal dog :). I also have a few chickens:)
What do you like about iCompete Fitness?
I like that we are always working on our core, which is my “trouble area”. I feel so much stronger doing boot camp than doing any class at a regular gym. I also like that Julie, our trainer, is ALWAYS there to help you whether it be eating better, your form when doing exercises, and motivating you when you don’t feel very motivated. I also LOVE all the friends that I’ve made working out at iCompete Fitness:))))
What is your favorite exercise at bootcamp?
“Sexy booty and leg day”. Who doesn’t need help there!?! I also like all the stretches we do after working out.
What is a healthy habit you have added into your life?
How to make better choices when “snacking” and also when eating out. Being more alert to labels on food and understanding them. Also noticing how I feel when I eat healthy versus when I don’t eat good. It’s not worth eating whatever it is knowing how I’m going to feel after eating it!
